Glue Sniffing Among the Street Children Residing at Pokhara Metropolitan, Nepal: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study

Introduction: Glue sniffing usually refers to volatile substance abuse (VSA) for psychoactive effects. Street children are the who live, work, and earn their livelihood through streets of urban settlements. mostly attracted more particularly towards substances as they cheap, easy access have effects alcohol intoxication. This study aimed assess general characteristics street Pokhara Metropolitan, Nepal addicted glue sniffing. Methods: A cross-sectional was conducted among were snowball sampling method in Nepal. Results: All 88 males. Of total children, 59 (67%) started glue-sniffing at age five ten years while nine (10.2%) even before old. Addiction (n = 33, 37.5%), pleasure 18, 20.5%)), coping with hunger 14, 15.9%), being a part group 13, 14.8%) major reasons sniff these children. Conclusions: It has been observed that majority increased risk getting involved resulted different ill outcomes such self-destruction problematic behavior, fights police arrest. There is need focus on issue save ensure quality life vulnerable
